Dear Family and Friends,
As many of you know, Jaana suffered an extended stroke early Saturday morning the 15th of September 2007. The devastation with which this has struck us all is indescribable. How can a healthy woman who just turned 40, does not smoke, hardly drinks, eats well and exercise regularly suffer such a terrible tragedy? As every cloud has a silver lining, we need to find it!
What seemed so important just a few days ago, has very much less meaning today; and that not so important smile or phone call is very much missed right now. We can not completely change our way of life, but hopefully this event brings some thoughts out in all of us to cherish every moment!
Jaana is currently still in the ICU at Gleneagles Hospital in Singapore. She will remain there for at least a week or so, and will then be transfered to a private ward where extended rehabilitation will commence. As she is the strongest woman on the planet, I am sure she will do well, but she needs encouragement. Therefore, this blogg has been created where I will post a daily summery of her progress and I would very much like ALL of you to post your greetings, thoughts and prayers.
With Great Love To My Dear Wife

Dear Jaana,
Janine, the children and I are thinking a lot of you and praying for your prompt recovery. It's difficult for us even to imagine what has happened, how you feel now, what are your sentiments and would like to hold your hand. We have a lot of trust in you and in the determination you'll put into this terrible battle. This morning Amabel, going to school, as asked me lot's of questions about you... How you feel right now, how are the doctors taking care of you, whether the children allowed to spent as much time as they want with you in the Hospital etc. etc. She asked me to tell Jorgen that in Pavia there are very good doctors that might help you.... I've told Amabel that Jorgen has already the best doctors in the world....

Dear Jaana,
I just came back yesterday evening from a business trip of LA and San Diego, checking now my long list of emails.
As I saw your email I was very happy, just called Seya to come and read it with me, because he's always looking forward to hear from his best friends.....He was on a school trip in Venice for one week.....he was so sad, because they took all the good friends apart in the 7th grade. We were just talking, that good friends always remain, doesen't matter where they are and then of course we talked about you...
But now, You really have shocked us....
We know only too good, how fast things can happen and everything that seemed to be important are meaningless from one to the other moment. But You will make it and you will recover soon, no question.
Jaana I always admired you, because of your amazing personality, your charme and your huuuuuge heart.I love to be with you talk about all the important and not important things.....You have a great family and we just love you guys very much.
I will call you tomorrow, I just wanted to let you know that.
God bless you.
Big hugs, ilona, Mauri and Seya
Hi Jaana & Jorgen
Great to follow the news of your recovery, I would have seen it earlier if I could figure out how to access the new blogs, but alas IT is not my strong point.... I blame jorgen for banning me fom the computer room at DTS.
I have some holidays coming up so let me know if ye need help with the kids, I am sure I can have them hyper within 20 mins and play some games like sticking lemons on their foreheads while drinking coca - cola.
My Mum sends her regards and has had a Mass offered for you at the local church.
Everyone in Zug is thinking of you and wishing you a speedy recovery.
xx Eamon
