7.02am Thursday morning. I just came off the phone with Jaana. She was a bit sad again and is ready to come home now. I have now booked myself to leave Barbados Thuesday evening and be up in Stockholm Wednesday afternoon. I will then watch Jaana during her rehab for a day and we will leave Friday morning at 9.30m. During this time I will meet with the therapist and get a better understanding what they have done and are currently focusing on. Everything is line up here so I think her transition should be a smooth one.
The kids are doing fine. Now Camille and Totte seem to have found all the friends and Ludwig still has hiw Danish/Norwegian buddy he plays with. Unfortunately they are not in the same class, but it works out anyway.
A few days ago there was a meeting with all Swedes in Barbados. There are 65 down here, which is a lot more than I thought. Many with kids and they are now planing on getting on with extra Swedish education for the children! Fantastic, bonus I think.

Jag förstår att du Jaana längtar efter din härliga familj. Nu får du snart komma hem igen och inte till vilket place som helst!!! Det kommer att göra dig gott och säkert göra att din rehabilitering går in i en ny fas. Fint att barnen har hittat kompisar och att de nu får börja gå på svenskundervisning (fast det sista håller inte Lisa med mig om, hon vill helst slippa). Att det var så många svenskar på Barbados!?

Jurgen i finally worked this blog thing out and had Andre get me in so i hope this gets to you all. Well we miss you all every day and are always in our hearts and prayers. i am working on that painting of you Janna so i see you all day and as always you warm my heart. As soon as i get it finished i will get it over to you and you may have a laugh Janna! well we are on the move to Brussels soon so we are getting closer every minute. will send you an email as i dont want to bore your blog site with all this info. It is wonderful to hear of Jaana's great progress and the inspiration and encouragement created by your good work. Keep it up both of you!!!! May Jaana have a smooth trip to Barbados. Welcome back to this hemisphere! Send us pictures of all of you once Jaana arrives.
Rafer and I are well and doing our best to stay warm in sub-zero Chicago. We are going to fight the cold by going for a ski trip to Park City at the end of this month. Actually we are going to celebrate Rafer's 40th birthday. Hard to believe! Pat, Ron, my brother Jay (who you may remember way back when from London),his wife and 2 kids, and my other brother Greg will join us.
Check out Rafer's progress on the house he has been rehabbing -- www.rafer.org. The latest phase is a staircase which he created that is not connected to the walls, but only has one step up connecting to the next. When I am not wondering how it works, I am marvelling at its genius.
